Wizyta Gości z Teksasu

27 maja 2024 r. Instytut Ochrony Roślin - PIB z wizytą studyjną odwiedziła delegacja z Teksasu ze Stanów Zjednoczonych. Grupa Gości - przedstawicieli amerykańskiego sektora rolnego - przybyła do Polski pod kierownictwem Jimmy'ego Mazurkiewicza - profesora na Uniwersytecie A&M w Teksasie, eksperta w dziedzinie chowu i hodowli zwierząt, naukowca, potomka polskich emigrantów, orędownika rozwoju stosunków polsko-amerykańskich i promotora polskiej kultury w Stanach Zjednoczonych.

Gości przyjęła Z-ca Dyrektora ds. naukowo-badawczych, dr hab. Kinga Matysiak, prof. IOR - PIB, która opowiedziała o historii, działalności i głównych kierunkach badań Instytutu. Następnie, dr inż. Jakub Danielewicz omówił zagadnienia z zakresu wyzwań i przyszłości ochrony roślin w UE. Uroczystym momentem spotkania było przekazanie flagi Texasu na ręce Dyrekcji.

Możliwość spotkania z tak znamienitymi Gośćmi była zaszczytem i przyjemnością - zapraszamy ponownie.

On May 27th a delegation from Texas from the United States visited the Institute of Plant Protection - National Research Institute on a study visit. A group of guests - representatives of the American agricultural sector - came to Poland under the leadership of Jimmy Mazurkiewicz - professor at Texas A&M University, expert in the field of animal breeding, scientist, descendant of Polish emigrants, advocate of the development of Polish-American relations and promoter of Polish culture in the United States.

The guests were welcomed by the Deputy Director for Scientific and Research Affairs, Kinga Matysiak, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof., who talked about the history, activities and main research directions of the Institute. Then, Jakub Danielewicz, Ph.D., discussed issues related to the challenges and future of plant protection in the EU. The solemn moment of the meeting was the handover of the Texas flag to the Management of the Institute.
