56th Scientific Session of the Institute of Plant Protection – National Research Institute

 

The 56th Scientific Session of the Institute of Plant Protection – National Research Institute (IPP – NRI) in Poznań, took place on 11–12 February 2016, under the honorary patronage of Krzysztof Jurgiel, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The main topics of this year's Session focused on four areas: new regulations on plant health, issues related to phytosanitary requirements in connection with new directions of export of Polish products, problems related to climate warming and its impact on the appearance and development of agrophages, importance of varietal progress in integrated plant protection.

The papers and posters presented at Session presented many valuable results of research in the field of food safety, including the future of new techniques in the analysis of residues of plant protection products in agricultural crops, results of monitoring of residues of plant protection products in agricultural crops, vegetables and fruits, results of official control of these residues in the light of the requirements of the Russian Federation, problems of counterfeiting of plant protection products in Poland.

In the 56th Scientific Session of the Institute of Plant Protection – NRI in Poznan participated about 600 people, 47 papers were delivered and 174 posters were presented. The issues discussed were very broad and varied.
