  • BRANCH OFFICE AND EXPERIMENTAL STATIONS

The Institute of Plant Protection – NRI has a branch office in Sośnicowice and three regional experiment stations, in Białystok, Toruń and Rzeszów.

In Sośnicowice Branch, there are modern laboratories performing research on the quality, originality and plant protection product residues.

The Regional Experiment Station in Białystok has a Food and Feed Safety Laboratory, which deals mainly with the research on using crop plants protection products and the subsequent dangers of contamination of crops and food with their residues.

The Regional Experiment Station in Toruń carries out research and disseminates knowledge on creating new and practical basics of plant protection, in particular that of sugar beet. 

The Regional Experiment Station in Rzeszów is one of few units nationally which carries out specialist scientific and commercial research on corn rootworm and European corn borer.

The Institute also has a Field Experiment Station in Winna Góra, the Great Poland province, which performs field research, as well as Agricultural Experiment Department.

All units of the Institute are prepared to carry out research required in the registration process of plant protection products, fertilizers and biostimulants.  Pre-registration tests on the effectiveness of the plant protection products, post-registration experiments on plant crops, quality analyses of crops and the risk of the occurrence of immunity of pests against protection products, we well as show and implementation experiments are carried out in the main office, departments and field stations of the IPP – NRI.
