- Studies on the elimination of pesticide waste.
- Strategies and programmes to reduce the risks associated with the use of plant protection products.
- Provision of services in the area of preparing expert opinions and environmental impact assessments of pesticides.
- IT work on the development of databases and systems for the management of control and research and technical activity.
- IT work on the application of new technologies, e.g. the internet, in the exchange of information.
- Conducting national and international projects in the field of pesticide waste disposal.
- Development of systems and participation in statistical studies on the consumption and sales of plant protection products as part of domestic and European projects.
Main achievements
- Establishing and providing equipment for a dedicated team specialising in the disposal of pesticide waste.
- Decommissioning of numerous plant protection waste disposal sites that posed a serious risk to humans and the environment.
- Decommissioning of a landfill site located in the area of the Branch as part of the Integrated Regional Operational Programme (EU Funds).
- Creation of IT systems to monitor the consumption and quality of Plant Protection Products.
- Participation in many domestic and international projects.
