INTRODUCTION

The Institute of Plant Protection - National Research Institute plays the significant role in the development of Polish agriculture. The Institute aims to conduct research providing the basis for plant protection and to develop better control means against pests and to promote environmentally-sympathetic agriculture in Poland.
 
The range of responsibilities is set in the Statutes of the Institute evaluated by the Scientific Council of IPP-NRI and validated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

HISTORY AND ACTIVITIES OF THE INSTITUTE OF PLANT PROTECTION - NRI

The Institute of Plant Protection (IPP) was established by Government Order No. 33 of 24 January 1951 to reorganize the State Research Institute of Rural Economy in Puławy and differentiate institutes specializing in agricultural science.
