From 15 to 17 October 2019 in Madrid, Spain, a meeting of the consortium of the project implemented under the HORIZON 2020 programme was held. The results of the three-year study were presented by the contractors and evaluated by the reviewers. Leader of the project "Sentinels Synergy for Agriculture" (SENSAGRI) was the University of Valencia (Spain). The Institute of Plant Protection – NRI was a project co-participant. The contractors were also Italian and French units specializing in IT and remote sensing.
The aim of the project was to use the synergy of optical and radar measurements from Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellites to develop prototype services. The products of the project are: surface soil moisture (SSM), green and brown leaf area index (LAI) and seasonal crop maps.

During the meeting there was also a workshop attended by governmental entities from Spain, such as: Ministry of Organic Conversion, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Centre for Industrial Technology Development, European Environment Agency and Joint Research Centre. The participants of the SENSAGRI project presented the results of the project and a discussion on the practical application of the products in precision farming took place.
