60th SCIENTIFIC SESSION
of the Institute of Plant Protection – NRI
Institute for Plant Protection – National Research Institute, informs that 60th Scientific Session of the Institute of Plant Protection – NRI dedicated to "THE INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF PLANT HEALTH (IYPH 2020)" will take place 11–13 February, 2020. Official opening will take place on 12th February 2020 at 10.00 a.m.
The day before the grand opening, forum “SCIENCE – AGRICULTURAL SCHOOLS” will take place in the IOR Hotel and Congress Centre, which will constitute the final of competition “Integrated protection of plants – a vision of the young generation” organised by IPP – NRI for agricultural schools. The following will take place on the same day: discussion panel „SCIENCE ‒ ADVISORY ‒ PRACTICE” devoted to problems of transferring the results of scientific research into agricultural practice and YOUNG SCIENTISTS’ FORUM, where students, Ph.D. students and young scientists will have the possibility to present the results of their research. The best presentations will be awarded.
The next two days of the Session will take place in hotel Novotel Poznań Centrum, where the lectures and posters will be presented by representatives of: scientific institutes, universities, Polish Academy of Sciences, Main Inspectorate of Plant Health and Seed Inspection, centres of agricultural advisory and phytopharmaceutical companies working to the benefit of science and agriculture. The authors of the most interesting presentations will have the possibility to publish their scientific work in magazines Journal of Plant Protection Research or Progress in Plant Protection.
The 60th IPP – NRI Scientific Session will give the opportunity to get to know the newest scientific achievements in the area of plant health and of the current problems of agricultural producers. Certainly, it will also be an occasion to meet people, discuss phenomena and establish contacts within the circle of specialists which in the future may turn out fruitful in terms of cooperation and taking up next scientific challenges.
