Introduction

The Institute of Plant Protection plays the significant role in the development of Polish agriculture. The Institute aims to conduct research providing the basis for plant protection and to develop better control means against pests and to promote environmentally-sympathetic agriculture in Poland.
 
The range of responsibilities is set in the Statutes of the Institute evaluated by the Scientific Council of IPP and validated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
